Is the rumor true that all Captains were advanced to the last step in their pay scale? I would love to hear the spin on that one.
 
I wouldn’t doubt it.

I would love to see our deputy and detective pay compared to TPD officer and detective pay compared.

Then compare officer to citizen ratios on top of that.

Then…

I would like to see the pay of the HCSO and TPD command and executive staff pay compared.

Not to mention rumors that majors and above got big raises.

Seems shiny cars, big shiny buildings, money, rank, status, power, and all those usual things take priority over boots on the ground and the citizens they serve.

There are the ones that risk their lives and there are the politician banker businessmen that run this agency playing cop from the safety of a fancy office.

The HCSO is all show and no go!

Why not speak up? Why not call them out? Why not post what we see? Here, social media, in person? They want us to burnout and quit before the academy programing wears out and before we notice their games. The ones that had kids, bought houses, went into debit and got stuck here have to suck it up or risk getting targeted with BS write ups and pushed out. For the young one, I say quit. For the ones close to the end, hold your ground, pace yourselves, speak up, never quit. Never work harder to make up for unfilled deputy possessions. Let the calls hold. Quality or quantity. If the agency wants both, they need to double the staff. Not bully the front lines into working over capacity. For what? For this pay? To burn out? With all their fake “we care about your mental health garbage”. Let them fire you and then sue them for constructive dismissal.
 
All of this can begin to be fixed by signing a blue card. Until then, everyone on here that is complaining is just being a b$*#*. Stop the complaining and do something. If not, sit in the corner and let the adults work at it. Sign the blue cards already!!
 
We have a legal right to turn in those blue cards. They can not track or retaliate for us turning in those cards. How long are we going to allow them to make unchecked knee jerk desicions? How long are we all going to be punished for what one or two people do? Why is the primary function of this agency, which is patrol, going to be kept at such a miserable state, that it is used as a punishment? Don’t believe what they say about how the union having enough votes. That’s brass propaganda. They need more votes.
