How much more developed does D4 have to be before they add more patrol deputies and detectives. Why are there less property detectives assigned to Kilo and Juliet ever since they consolidated into CID? More buildings, more majors, more commanders, less detectives, less deputies. They have truly lost their minds.

Look at 19th, Wimauma, Big Bend, Balm Riverview, and many more. These were roads with nothing on them. No businesses. No stores, no apartments, no strip malls. Now they have exploded yet same amount of deputies as 10 years ago. Call volume has passed a million calls. The budget and command has increased. How is this not a scam? Put your cops and citizens first HCSO.
 
When I saw District 4 I thought this post would be about out our tyrant command staff. My entire squad is miserable and I know the others are too. Our “leaders” have wrecked morale and careers, and they seem to enjoy it which makes it even more demoralizing.
 
Ain't that the truth. Miserable squads seems to be what they pride themselves into in D4. Tyrant leaders. The admin corporal that accidentally keyed up said it best on the air. Crooked tyrants! He had the balls to step up, but they transferred him like they like to do.
 
They still threatening you guys to not bring up the union? Double down like they do. Per FSS, you have the right to organize. Speak up. Don’t fall for their threats.

You’re not wrong - we have the right to do many things. However, they have the power to destroy our careers as they have done to many great deputies and supervisors. Doesn’t make it right, but that’s how HCSO is currently run.
 
As if this job is not hard enough and destructive as it is. These so called leaders have to justify their existence by making our jobs harder. That’s the real problem.

Are you kidding? That’s not going to happen. That district’s citizens are the most neglected. Chad knows know they can’t afford to fight any wrongdoing and negligence when they won’t investigate serious felonies… Chad knows it, he’s too busy walking in pride parades, getting his maintenance Botox and choreographing dances in the street. 🤭. Btw, what happened with that Waffle House shooting in November 2024 3am Sunday prior to the electio? Anyone know? HCSO didn’t give the public any information, description, motive, yet said the public was not in danger? I have no formal training in law enforcement, but a child would say the public is in danger with some punk with a gun and killing a patron who tried to speak to him. District 4 has some real under trained deputies in that area in particular.
 
Well said. The HCSO is all show and no go. That’s what happens when you have millionaires and politicians running a law enforcement agency. Which should be humble.

Word has it, even homicide is too busy to go to call outs due to prioritizing high profile news worthy cases instead of common person cases. Has info about that D5 mess made its way down to D4?

D4 is critically short handed and full of rookies. Which is a clear indicator of a police agencies state of health.

I belive this is exactly the way they want it. Low pay short handed cheap labor of rookies that keep quitting so they can spend money elsewhere.

Their revolving door of deputies has become an exit door of burned out angry 3-6 year deputies though. All out there spreading the word about the HCSO.

The HCSO is in a downward spiral. A third party agency needs to come and reset everything. A massive audit needs to be conducted going back a decade. Too top heavy, low front line staffing, blowing money, irresponsible spending, officer to citizen ratio, its failure to retain it officers, and so on…

There is talk about them chopping D4 in half and adding a D6! Hahahaha! I bet they would love that! A 6th set of brass to promote their buddies and cut all the district leaders workloads down. Plus the usual HCSO MO… Even less deputies in the same geographic area as D4 alone. Just like they did when they opened D5. They removed the mid shift county wide to make it look as if there were enough deputies on patrol to fill D5. In the end, even to this day. There are less deputies on the street than even 8 years ago.

All that uncontrolled growth in D4 is overwhelming the infrastructure with no sign of it slowing down. It’s interesting how Chad is connected with these developers. It’s worth a look. You would be surprised. In the end, citizens and cops are on the back burner. It’s all about money, and build build build.

They don’t care. We need a union.
