So we are here to post anonymously about our agencies. You are here to expose that there are security issues on this site in the name of protecting us users. Basically looking out for us. Now you threaten to hack and expose this site? Which would release all the users info? It doesn’t make sense.

Correct me if im wrong. I think the point is if you are here to post anonymously and he can indeed do what he claims he can do, then it's not anonymous after all. The site is still young, I think it would be good to know what we are getting ourselves into before someone actually does go to far. I read the persons blog post before the link was moderated out. It makes plenty of sense. He has a point. I would feel better knowing the limits of what I should post instead of trusting what is said about anonymity and finding myself under investigation after finding out there is none. Its easy to say, IF YOU ARE WORRIED THEN USE TOR. But if that is the case than why make any claims about anonymity at all. Why not just tell all users to use TOR. The fact the mod had to remove the blog post link makes me wonder two thing: 1, how much moderation is this new forum going to be dishing out to protect administrations, and 2, how accurate was the blog post about the problems about posting here. i am glad this site exists and I have a lot to say, but I want what I have to say to stay and stay anonymous.
 
I think the objective is to take the attention off the HCSO and divert it on this guy. Did the HCSO hire him to plant seeds of doubt on this forum. If so, clever move. Look how this thread is no longer about Question Corner.

I read the article. I have a copy. It has its good points. There are always risks to whistle blowing. Risks I’m willing to take.

We need to stay on task though.

Yeah, Chronister hired a former cop who fled to Russia to plant seeds of doubt in this forum. Chronister and his other idiots on Mahogany row can barely manage to tie their own shoe laces. Give me a break, Hugo. Chip should have let the article stay, now it looks like he's hiding something extremely damning. As you said, it has some good points. What points? Yes there are risks to whistleblowing. Glad you read the points and are willing to take the risks. Aren't we all entitled to do the same?
 
In a nutshell, the guy wanted us to stop using LEOaffairs. He claimed it was not secure. He wanted everyone to switch over to his safe and secure Russian version of this site. It seemed odd. The post was taken down. Then he posted an article. It was more of a blog or something that seemed AI generated.

The above article, although very interesting, that Dr. Strangelove posted, is not the original article or blog that Volf posted. I just so happen to catch the original article when it was first posted. I clicked the link and read it. Then it got deleted. It kept the link. I posted about it to see if Chip could shed some light on why the site was being targeted. The article kept getting taken down, so I never thought to repost it out of respect to LEOaffairs. It’s not my place to do that.

Volf threatened to “expose” this site for allegedly not being secure.

The original blog had some good points to think about, if you are a big time conspiracy theorist, but overall the article made no sense. It was all over the place and over the top. Seemed like AI. Volfs Wikipedia page and other info seemed weird. A lot of conspiracy theories about law suits and so on… which I believe can happen but we are not at the level. So far all our posts have been benign. Basic complaints about pay, staffing, spending, accountability. Nobody is getting assassinated over. Why would that guy even care about us or this site. Also, if it was even him posting. For all I know, someone is using his name. Not hard to do.

It just didn’t seem credible. The guy’s intent was strange to me. It seemed he wants us to stop using this site and to use his cop complaint forum site instead that was safe and in Russia or something. Or he has something against the creators of this site. I get what he is saying but something is not right and we need to stay on task.

I definitely agree with you about the HCSO not having the brains to hire some ex cop in Russia. I’m thinking it’s less complicated. It’s some kind of cheap knock ofd version of hiring anyone. It’s possibly one person that used an AI to creat that article to deal with sites like this. Probably some PR move. The original article, the guys bio, the wikapadia page. It doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t read right.

I think we should ignore it and move on.

That’s my theory.

In the end, we want accountability, better pay, more staffing, and so on… I don’t think anyone is going to be sued over it. We are calling out things we have seen and documents we are finding through freedom of information.

Alright, it's becoming painfully obvious that the Russian is having conversations with himself, asking questions, answering, etc. If this alleged Cyberguy guy was really working cyber crime in a foreign country, don't you think he'd be able to spell it correctly? It's spelled SWEDEN!!! Chip or Sysop, can you just block this guy already?

Something is not right. The writing, the spelling, it’s strange. I second that Chip, Sysop, Mod1…

Let’s get back to what we were doing. This is a distraction tactic. Nothing complicated.

We can't block him because we don't log the IP addresses as the poster above said. The best we can do is remove his posts. Or is it? Time will tell.

The derailing of topics was an old trick they pulled often in the old LEOaffairs. And I know exactly why he chose this one topic…

Notice how they stopped posting questions and answers on Q corner? Rumor has it a media outlet did a public information request on all Q corner questions and responses.

About damn time. They will see what we have been begging for! It’s nothing major. It’s basics. Staffing, proper pay, fairness, and to stop with the toxic nepotism, blacklisting, and the other games they play. More importantly, they will they their AI generated BS corporate responses.
 
No survey results, no answers posted to question corner, and no follow up to the chiefs meetings, zero credibility, zero transparency.

We need to ignore that guy and not feed into his reply’s. His posts are easy to spot. His lingo is off.

We need to stay on topic. Remember, most of the reason we post is to get info out and memorialized somewhere for the public to see. This way the HCSO can’t say they did not know or the usual, “Why didn’t anyone speak up? Our door is always open”. While knowing full and well why nobody speaks up.

I just wish all the old LEOaffairs threads were still available to read. This way everyone could see how they have been playing these same games on their workers for decades.
