I forgot. The biggest sign of HCSO culture. The suicides. The murder suicides. You only have to go back about 6 years. Do your research TBT.

Start with the basics, like bully commanders that punish deputies and their supervisors if they don't make a certain amount of stats. Even if their squad have been operating with two or four deputies for months or years when there should be a minimum of 8 and that is being conservative. Given the population and how this county has grow. It should be no less than 12. That includes all the time off and training.

Starts with the highly uneven distribution of destructive mental stress on its workers.

6 years? Coincides with the placement of Chronister…. 🤔

I would say about 10 years back. Docobo started this tyranny. His method was to treat deputies like garbage and fire them for anything and everything. Any IA detective during the end of the Docobo era will tell you. That was why so many were on edge and angry back then. That’s how they kept us short so they can do what they want with the budget. See, the get a budget for how many deputies they are APPROVED to have, and no for how many they physically have to pay. They are required to hire a certain amount a year so pushing deputies out by firing or by pushing them out is the key for the extra budget.

Chad took over but operates more like a Blackrock CEO. Keep them short handed, keep the pay low, keep the workload and stress high and the deputies will leave.

We are all pawns. Pawns in a much bigger game. Victims, witnesses, suspects, good guys, bad guys, cops, robbers, all pawns. The big wigs reap the benefits.

Like a dog fight. No matter what dog wins or loses, it brings entertainment and the house always wins.

Now everyone is burned out and limping along or quitting. The “I got to get off patrol!” Scam is their preferred method of control.
