Anyone else having this corporate garbage shoved down their throats at roll call? One of our executive staffers watched some BS Ted talk and woke the idea fairy. Mid level command want those promotions to the push it along. Do they not remember that street cops are blue collar workers?

Corporate manipulation doesn’t fix short handed squads.

They want to forget that cops sometimes need to get down and dirty. The dipshits that always seem to get promoted never worked the streets. Not the hard ones, anyway. Mostly they were running off vagrants from the rich neighborhoods. To them, that's how we all should be.

My new lieutenant gets hit by the good idea fairy at least once a week. Pep-talks during daily roll calls, making every single deputy in the platoon (days and mids) present roll call trainings on topics picked randomly from a bag, making deputies tour the Real Time Crime Center during roll call… we’ve had her for two weeks by the way. She’s been the worst in that regard, but something about wearing gold makes these people take TED talks and other corporate slop as if they’re gospel

There are those that do the actual tangible job. The true first responders putting their asses on the line.

There are those that have guns, bullet proof vests, and get high risk pay, but have no cages in their cars, do no police work and have to justify their existence with corporate garbage. They act as if they are one of us and we have to entertain them like we are here just for them. We are here for the public and other deputies.

How about seperate us. Lets us work, while you guys play your corporate, political, and businessman money games.

If they would at least listen to us and leave us alone. Or, better yet, are very least, give us the staffing we need to do our jobs.

They keep us short while they get more and more top heavy? They feeling out numbered?

I trust nobody above the rank of deputy. They are not here to look out for us. It’s all a show. It’s all for optics and always somehow leads to money, promotion, or power. But mostly, the greatest prize of all… Not having to do actual dangerous, mentally destructive police work.
